Why a Retreat?

Community…we were made for community. At Cary Christian School, we have the incredible opportunity to build deep lasting relationships with our K-12 structure and smaller class sizes. Relationships, however, require intentional focus.
This retreat is designed to reach the following goals:

• Provide opportunities for students to consider their own relationship with God and how they want to grow in their faith this year.
• Provide opportunities for students to strengthen relationships with others in their grade and with their teachers through safe, fun activities.
• Provide opportunities for the Eighth-Grade class to become more unified in school spirit and in their commitment to leadership on the Logic School Hall.
• Have fun!

Registration:

• RSVP (yes or no) through the Parent Portal.

Details of Retreat: Camp Royall in Moncure, North Carolina

Date: Friday, August 28
Time: 8:00 a.m. - Depart for Camp Royall; 3:00 p.m.- Return to Cary Christian School

Transportation

Students will travel in Cary Christian School buses.

Facilities

Most activities will be in field space outside, the gymnasium, and cafeteria.

Activities

• Team building activities
• Free choice camp/group activities
• Group time

What to Wear/Bring (Label all belongings.)

• Modest shorts and CCS Spirit Wear t-shirts, closed-toed tennis shoes
• Lunch and snack
• Refillable water bottle
• String bag or backpack, sunscreen, and extra t-shirt (in case you want a fresh t-shirt for the ride home)

As with any field trip, the decision to send your child is at the parent’s discretion. Because the teachers travel on this retreat, there will not be classes at Cary Christian School for the Eighth-Grade students on this day.
