It is the time of year where we will be accepting applications for this summer’s
B.E.S.T. Program. If you have not heard about our B.E.S.T. Program yet,
we will briefly cover it below:

The B.E.S.T. Program was initially created in the summer of 2013 by
Fr. Manny Gallo with the intent to acclimate our students to a life of faith and service.
B.E.S.T. stands for Brothers Eagerly Serving Together.

This summer service program is exclusively for incoming freshman students.
Participants will reside on campus for the week (Monday – Friday),
spending their days completing a variety of community service projects at Don Bosco and
at service sites throughout NJ and NY.

While service is the main objective, the program also includes:

  • Daily Mass

  • Formation lessons and talks from Salesian Priests and Brothers

  • Games and activities

  • The boys will be led by 4 Young Team members (junior/senior students) who have previously
participated and completed counselor training. The week will be directed by
Fr. John Langan (CYM) and 2 Don Bosco Prep faculty members.

Due to transportation and logistical constraints, only 20 students will be accepted.

With over 200+ freshmen in the class, an application process is required.

    Important Information:

  • Dates: Monday, August 3rd – Friday, August 7th

  • Cost: $300 (includes all meals, lodging, transportation, and other costs)

  • If you have any further questions, please reach out either to
    brkwhite@donboscoprep.org or abock@donboscoprep.org.
